Hi,

I'm planning to drive from Arizona to Calgary for July 26. Does anyone know if I can buy a ticket when I get there? Are there any reserved seats or is it just first come, first serve? Any info anyone could give me would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

They had one thing right...commercial radio does suck. One thing I like about Canada is there's no problem finding a classic rock or C&W FM station. Down here it's horrible. Fully 1/3 of the AM and FM bands seems to be coming straight out of Tiajuana. There is one good FM station right around here, and it's iconic in the radio biz...

Here's another good one I listen to. Discovered it when I was up in Toronto a few years ago.

Stupid FaceBook wouldn't let me post this as a comment on Loreena's wall, probably because this isn't my computer...

Hi Shannon! How the heck are you? No, I was having problems with some of my other internet accounts as well. It was a well used public computer at the Calgary Airport Holiday Inn. FaceBook, after I logged into my account with name and password, wanted me to verify my account via cell phone when I tried to post a comment on LM's wall. I don't have a cell phone and never told FaceBook that I had a cell phone. My 1st inclination was the keyboard wasn't sending what I was typing, so, before preforming actual surgery on it I gave it a smack and apparently it woke up. Now, today, FaceBook won't let me upload my photos into an album and won't tell me what the problem is Mad

Ahh, you're too fast. I wanted to delete that last message but had to wait for it to post first. My PC is rather fast, so was confuzzled when Facebook page wouldn't load and I assumed it was the same situation as what's taking place with the MySpace website... alas, not true. The page kicked in after I wrote the message. Typical.

I think I'll go hang out in my woods for a while, there's too much technology going around. But then again, it's sopping wet in there.
Aside from the radiation affecting our satellite communication systems, and other electronic appliances, and the natural downloading torrential rains to clean up the air of this radiation, blah blah blah.

This has been a public broadcast service announcement.

P.S. As for me, I'm re-mixing music, because sometimes I think my ears are a little 'tone deaf'. Experimenting with beats and what have you and blah blah blah. I'm working on two albums at present, and simultaneously exploring my options in propagating. CDBaby is getting better.

For merchandisers and aspiring musicians looking for every iota of advertising space, you may want to try this, it's pretty cool:

TheBizmo

Check it out. It's like a little 'microstore'.

Next... Dennis, did you really smack the keyboard? haha, careful of 'computer rage' ... (I should write an article on this Cool , and all the blah blah blahs about it.)

I hope you have a wonderful week-end and as for me, I'm going back to Facebook to blah blah blah some more. Take care of yourself.

Smile,
Shan xx

Hey Dennis, I had to return with a smile. The PC comments are a tad funny, but ..could it very well be that 'Ed26' won't allow comments on Facebook as much as he's not allowing it on MySpace? (wink). Nothing wrong with the computer... Wink

I thought it was the same with this message board. How could you post here from another computer? I have never managed when I was abroad.

Just log in with your usual username and password, and remember to log out when you are done so no one else can post under your name.

Thank you very much, Ramona. Smiler Well, I will have to recover my password that I can't bear in mind at this moment Confused.

So I enter the messageboard and click on login/join and type username and password and then I'm not a guest anymore. Right?

Maybe It is better you buy your ticket before you leave... don't you think? Enjoy the concert!

Bob...

The tickets are actually a pass to the whole festival, and there's different passes including tickets at the gate for Saturday and Sunday. I have the the pass for the whole 4 days. There are no reserved seats if I understand it correctly, but "festival seating" and I think that means you stake a claim to some grass. You can contact them directly:

Loreena is on Sunday evening, saving the best for last, but I'm also looking forward to Glen Campbell, Al Escovedo and Ray Wiley Hubbard. There's a You-Tube video of Al Escovedo playing a gig in Texas with a guy named Chuck Prophet (look for Chuck Prophet on Letterman on You-Tube). Chuck is really good and getting pretty famous. One of my music buddies here, an outstanding guitar player named Tom Ayres, just recorded a record with Chuck in Mexico so I can't wait to talk to Al Escovedo about how small the world is. Anyway, it should be a riot. Good luck...
