Loreena joins forces with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra
Special Remembrance Day dinner and fundraising event November 10
The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra extends an invitation to Quinlan Road Community members to attend a gala Remembrance Day dinner – featuring a performance by 435 Squadron’s Honorary Colonel, Loreena McKennitt.
This special event, which includes a short live performance by Loreena with accompaniment from Brian Hughes, will take place on Saturday, November 10 between 5pm and 7.30pm on the Piano Nobile of Winnipeg’s Centennial Concert Hall.
Dinner will be catered by The Fairmont Winnipeg. Tickets are $125 per person, including wine and $40 tax receipt. All proceeds from this event go to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra’s fundraising campaign.
The WSO also extends an invitation to attend its annual WSO Pops concert, Remembering Radio Days, also on November 10 (matinee or evening performance). The concert will feature hits from the big band era, including “I'll Be Seeing You”,
“Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “Chatanooga Choo-Choo”, and is a tribute to the men and women who defended the home front during the Second World War.
