I see in the Winnipeg Free Press that Ms. McKennitt will be appearing at The Winnipeg Folk Festival as the final mainstage act on July 12th. It seems she is replacing k.d. lang. So
I guess I'll be packing the bug spray and the sunscreen and dancing at Birds Hill Park to Loreena this summer!

Yes I will indeed enjoy myself, thanks for the wishes! I believe 19992 was the last time Loreena appeared at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, and she received the first Festival Artistic Achievement award in 2004. As long as the weather cooperates it should be a great time for everyone.
