Hi!! I'm Juan from SPAIN

I'm on holiday in GALICIA in the last week of July. By this time.. it is announced a concert of Loreena, but it is not specified tha exact date. Please, can anyone tell me if the concert is likely to be the 28th of July in Santiago and where?? Any beautiful place??

Other thing is that I have just bought the ticket for the concert in LORCA (MURCIA) in the Castle of Lorca. But I can't choose the seat. It is shame, since I am a member and I am supposed to have the advantage of choosing a better place to see de performance, but actually, members and no members have the same opportunities, since we can't choose the seat. Does anyone know why occur this in LORCA? I hope I can choose the seat in Santiago!!!

You're right. I think i would have done the same in Granada. But it's a pitty I can't go to that concert. It's funny. I live here in Almería, 1.5 hours from Granada and I'm going to Lorca and Santiago de Compostela hehe. But on that date (26th) I'm in your city (Logroño) and after that in El País Vasco on holidays. I'm going to see El Monasterio de Yuso y Suso, several beautiful villages and I'm going to do some wine tour hehe.

Yes, you're right, I thought about it, but on the other side, how many times can you chose first row?. I couldn't resist the temptation. Do you know the venue? I think there's not an orchestra pit.

Congratulations to all of you who have already bought your tickets in Granada!!. You have very good places!! But... I think that the front row is not the best place in that auditorium in Granada since it is just in front of the scenario and have to keep hour head bent up. (I'm not sure if I have said it well hehe) The best row is the fouth or fith. But I'm sure you will enjoy it a lot!!!!

Thanks for your advice. I'll be queueing two or three hours before the concert. Oh my God!! The sole idea of being in front of Loreena's arp or piano makes me so so so happy. I think I am not going to be able to keep from cry!!!!

Airish, are you sure that the concert is likely to be in "La Plaza de la Quintana", just besides the Cathedral? Oh my god. That must be, as you say, AWESOME.

I can't go to the concert of Bilbao because I'm staying there in Bilbao till July 27th. The 28th I'm in Ribadeo (LUGO) and the 29th I arrive to Santiago and... ¡¡ta cháaaaan!!

We, all the memmbers of this forum, may meet there jeje You included, Mark hehe I wish you have a very "warm and sunny" weather here in Spain. But.. if you are looking for a good beach, you can't miss the beaches of "Cat Cape" (Cabo de Gata) here in Almería. The best virgin beaches in Spain!!!

Yes, Santiago must be awesome! My journey start on Lorca to see the concert in the Castle. Tío, imagínate el castillo. Debe ser alucinante la noche allí. Mágica...

After that I go to spend a night in Valencia (near of your city) :P, and later, I go to País Vasco (by the way, there is another concert of Loreena in Bilbao on that dates hehe), and after that, I go to Galicia... When I saw the date of the concert I coudn't believe it. It was just the day I was there in Santiago. Another magic night, like in Lorca. Bajo cielo gallego, rodeado de peregrinos. Magia, misterio... amor.

I wish you enjoy "el camino de Santiago". I want to do it on 2010, since it's "año Xacobeo". It will be my first time. I hope you tell me your experience.

I'm fascinated that Loreena loves so much Spain. Its history, its backgrounds (celtic, arabian, romans, fenicios... the middle age, the dark times of the Spanish Christianism and the supersticions) And Loreena can be sure that Spain loves her so so much!!

My husband and me are going to be in Madrid, Granada, Alicante and Santiago de Compostela.

Orielo, We were in the Carlos V when Loreena recorded the DVD, and the seats haven't any number, except from some seats which were reserved for members of the 'Patronato de la Alhambra', you could take any seat. We were at the door of the venue around 45 minutes before and there were around 30 people queuing. A good advise is to be there more than an hour before the concert if you want to take the best seat.
As Mark says: "first come, first served".

I wish the concert in Santiago is in the Plaza de Quintana, it's the back face of the cathedral, a great great place. I'm imagining Loreena there with the lights of the cathedral at night, AWESOME!!! Granada and Santiago are our favourite Spanish cities.
Bilbao is the nearest city, La Rioja is only one hour far but we'll stay in Santiago some days after the concert. We would like to go to all the concerts but Loreena is too fast for us to follow her )) then, it's a pity but we have to chose.

I will be in Santiago in August, 3 weeks later, when I finish the Camino de Santiago. What a shame!!!!!!!

It's fantastic that the concert is the 29th of July. It's just the night I arrive to Santiago!! I can't believe I am going to see her twice in each corner of SPAIN hehehe.

I'll try to arrive to LORCA very early (5 hours before) to queue so as to get a very good place!! It's my first time that I go to see Loreena!!
