The heat is on, lots of sunshine, sunset is at 10:00pm, the people are piling in, and so far the music is pretty good. Mainly "local" musicians from around Canada. Tomorrow and Sunday are the headliners with Loreena closing the show Sunday night. It's supposed to rain Sunday, but maybe it'll hold off. One thing's for sure, it is a festival...

Actually, I lied...sunset was really around 9:40 and it was still quite light at 10. I'm sure you can guess Loreena was the hit of the show. I can't compare her to Glen Campbell because they're different styles of musician, and Glen was amazing. But Loreena and the band were right in the "pocket". They were great. She was the only act that did an encore. She had a young fiddle player and the little "duel" he did with Brian in Swans was the best I've heard them do. Yeah, they pulled out all the stops last night. I had to crawl around looking for my socks because she knocked them right off......I told her I was going to use that joke...sorry...
