it is difficult to find words to tell what happened in Valencia last night. Maybe one of the best concerts this wonderful city has ever seen (and I must tell you that Valencia is the most musical province in Spain, with hundreds of bands and orchestras)... One hour and forty-five minutes of a unique artistic experience
I had never seen Loreena in concert so far, but I must say that yesterday´s concert has been one of the best ones I have ever seen (and I have seen lot of them during my 33 years)
Loreena was wonderful: her voice is unique, the voice of an angel...The harp and piano, like in my dreams... I think she was very happy and that she was having a good time too as she smiled a lot and gave us some nice speeches along the show...
...I think she said they were touring Spain by bus (is that true, Mark????)
The band, perfect. The nine musicians were fantastic and by their faces one could see that they were enjoying themselves... Loreena and Caroline Lavelle´s duets are some of the best musical moments I have experienced in my life
The fans, wonderful as well. The venue was full of people of all ages and appearances, I think the tickets were almost sold out. We all showed a great respect for Loreena and the band: just a couple of flashes at the begining and the media taking pictures during the firt two songs. But after that, no lights, no cellullar phones, no people moving near the stage and no kind of noise during the show. Valencia is not Lorca...
I would like to mention two moments of the concert: The Highwayman, which showed perfectly the power and colour of Loreena´s voice (what a voice, what a voice !!!)... and Santiago.... Santiago... I think Santiago is like an ace in Loreena´s repertoire. Maybe the most celebrated song last night: fans hardly could keep from standing from their seats and dance! Besides, Santiago is Loreena´s "Spanish song" for fans in Spain
After the concert, one of the best moments in my life: Loreena came out from the backstage about 30 minutes after the concert and shared some minutes, photographs and autographs with some lucky fans who were patient for waiting after the venue was almost empty. Meeting Loreena and speaking with her was like a dream. She is so nice... I thanked her for the show and told her how much I love her music; I also asked her to come back to Spain soon. Then me and my girlfriend could get a picture with her (beautiful photograph which is going to decorate our living room at home!!) and got her autograph on the An Ancient Muse blue box
Well friends, Valencia´s concert has made me love Loreena and her music even more... I thought it was impossible...
Enjoy the rest of the tour, those who are going to see her in Bilbao, Alicante, Santiago (Orielo, ya nos contarás el concierto de Santiago!!!!!!!!!)...
See you again on this never ending road... very soon, I am sure ! Nos vemos en este camino interminable... muy pronto, seguro !
Hi freesoul, I think Mark simply had his fingers in the wrong place and typed 'wukk' instead of 'will' in his earlier message. Cheers, Stacey[/QUOTE]
Thank you, Stacey! every new word I don't know yet is a source of joy, but when I can't find them in the dictionary they become a source of disappointment... False alert this time

Hola Antonia !
I think you got my words in the wrong sense. I was joking when I said "Valencia is not Lorca", I didn´t write that in a negative sense, of course. Just a joke, ok?
Espero que se te haya pasado el enfado !!!!
I think those difficult moments during Lorca´s concert are now just funny memories even for Loreena...
...and I am sure those things happen not only in Spain, but also in cold and stolid countries like Germany or Canada (I hope Germans and Canadians don´t get angry with me now like Murcia people )
I love Murcia and its whole province, I have many friends there and I think you are "the sister region" of Valencia...
And I think that despite those difficult moments in Lorca, Loreena will go back to Murcia next time she tours Spain.
Espero verte en la próxima gira de Loreena y nos tomamos unas cervecitas para sellar la amistad entre valencianos y murcianos
Love

Hola Martin, Thank you for answering. As I said, I know your words were not negative, I know it was a joke. What's more, I love sense of humor and I love laughing and positive people. But we know that this message board is shared by many people and sometimes jokes can not be understood. That's why I wanted to make clearer my ideas. I hope you understand me too. And if not, we can continue this conversation having those beers, as you said, the next time Loreena tours in Spain or the next time you come to Murcia or I go to Castellón. By the way, how did you know that I love beer?? Espero que nos veamos algún día y echarnos unas risas. Un abrazo,

Hi Martin, glad that you had fun! I believe that all of us who have attended a Loreena's concert share the same desire to see Loreena very soon again. It's something stronger than us, we wish Loreena back sooner than ever! Listening to Loreena's powerful voice in the enchanting landscape of Valencia must have been a unique event. Lucky you and the fellow concertgoers freesoul

It is incredible how most of us share the same emotions about Loreena´s concerts. Reading your report, Martin, I "see" the same I lived in Madrid. The same emotions, the same thoughts and feelings... She must be very "big" to bring such deep emotions to such a lot of people.
Mark, I am sure you will enjoy the bus journeys through the North of Spain. Wonderful landscapes to see...
Hi Martin: Congratulations for having enjoyed, in such a special way, the concert of Valencia!!! Indeed they are many wonderful moments that Loreena has given us all in her tour...
I am counting the days to be able to enjoy my third concert in Granada. On Saturday I travel from Malaga to see her again.
Ains .... How much I am going to miss her when the concerts end....
Mark ...Is it possible to make as a new merchandise ... a small real Loreena who sings live in?...It is a joke, you know, still I have not taken my medication ;-)
Hi Martin, I was in Valencia too and I agree with you. Like you I can hardly find the words to say how magical the concert was. That night had DUENDE. I can see you have read the post I wrote about the concert in Lorca, and I would like my words not to be misunderstood. When you say that "Valencia is not Lorca", I wouldn't like people to have a negative consideration about the city of Lorca or their inhabitants. In Lorca as in Valencia there are all type of people with their prons and cons. I don't think it is good to generalize! As I wrote in my post, most of the audience wanted to fully live the concert. It was just the behaviour of a few individuals that caused some discomfort. And I think it could have been avoided if the local promoter would have been better organized. I have been to many many concerts along the years in The Castle of Lorca, and I have had magical nights there. This year I have also been to a few concerts and I must say, I have noticed the organitation of the local promoter has been worse this summer festival. There are many things to be considered, to be organized in each concert, like where the corcert is held, the amount of people attending, the characteristics of the particular site, the artist's requirements, and some others. The night Loreena performed at the Castle of Lorca, she was completely left alone by the local promoter and I blame the local promoter-to whom I have already made a complaint- for neither controlling nor telling off these disrespecful people. During the concert I felt bad for Loreena and the musicians, as well as impotent to prevent these people's disruptions. And I especially regret that to happen in Lorca since I am from Murcia. Martin, I know your words aren't negative towards the people from Lorca, but given that many people read and participate in this message board it is important to be careful with our words so that we are not disrepectedful to other people. Un abrazo,
Martin, I subscribe all your words. I saw her in Huelva and was incredible. The first words from my wife after the concert were "this is the best concert I've even seen". All the band, and specially Loreena and Caroline are at the top of form. THANKS LOREENA!
I love the road... Journeys are longer, but more romantic, and the bus allows you to see the landscapes, the villages, the cities...
Well, in fact I saw your buses parked in Valencia, but I didn´t see you!!
I think you are going to like the bus rides in northern Spain... The route between Bilbao and Santiago is the most beautiful one in Spain (in my opinion), especially if you get near the coast.
Enjoy the last days of the tour, and have a good time in Spain. A suggestion: if you have some hours off one evening in Santiago, walk the streets near the Cathedral and take a guided visit to the Cathedral´s roof...
Indeed, we have traversed across Spain on buses, three in total. We started in Madrid, drove to Malaga, drove then to Huelva, on to Lorca, up to Barcelona and down to Valencia. We wukk fly to Quimper France today and than back to Spain in a couple of days for the Granada show and then some additional bus rides. It is very interesting to see the diverse landscape of Spain and how notably and quickly it changes from one region to another.
