Well, if I were famous I would expect for my fans to want to capture my image on their cameras -- but I would also be very uncomfortable with being photographed CONSTANTLY, as certain actors are. I wouldn't have a problem with cameras at a concert, so long as flashes are OFF; same with a "meet-n-greet" situation (within reasonable limits).
If I were famous, I would expect my fans to respect my privacy and not hound me everywhere I go -- I may have "put myself in the spotlight", but that does not give people license to act like idiots just to get that "money shot". People, the fans, need to ask themselves one simple question (and give it an honest answer): "How would I feel if dozens of paparazzi were continually following me and invading MY privacy?" Now, consider how Ms. McKennitt might feel when someone decides they have a "right" to invade her privacy "just because" she is "famous".
Before you snap that picture at a "meet-n-greet", ask if it is permitted to do so. It will take only a few seconds of your time, and it is the right thing to do, besides.

Question: If you were famous, and you were constantly photographed, you....:
It would depend on the situation. If I would be famous and would be out, doing PRIVATE things like going to a supermarket, meeting friends, beeing at the gym, on vacation or whatever (Paparazzi-Style), them I would find that VERY annoying and distracting. But when I´m doing a CD Presentation or a Live Show, and I would know that there are many fans around, some of them would travel from far away, just to see ME, how could I be annoyed or distracted? Question: Do you think people take too many photographs of Loreena?
This is also something you cannot answer with yes or no. Just an example: I have never met Loreena (in Person) before, and I´m pretty sure that I would/ will try to take a Picture of herself or try that someone could take one of us together. That´s just a nice memory of a special moment in my life. Of course I know that many many people already took a picture of / with her for exactly the same reasons and I´m very happy for them that they had these moments and memories, but hey .. these are not my moments or memories. I also think it´s a difference if one Person is following her and is taken Pics all the time or if a Person is taken every few years a few Pics. Sure, 100 Pictures are 100 Pictures. No matter if 1 Person is taken 100 Pics or 100 Persons are taking each 1 Picture. But the Moral (or whatever you will call it) is something totally different. I´m also pretty sure that Loreena is smart enough to let the People know - if it´s okay for her or not - that People are taken Pictures.
