Regarding the Atlanta show, I had no problems ordering two tickets. They processed fine and I received them in the mail a few days ago.
Don't know why there was a "one ticket limit posted," but I wasn't prevented from ordering two. I did worry about it a little at first, but all was well.
With Portix in Portland, Maine I ordered my tickets on August 15th and literally had them in my hands on August 16th. I guess it's true the companies can get so big (too big) that it slows them down. I see on my weekly Live Nation e-mail that Loreena shows up as coming to Providence, RI but no mention of Portland, ME two days later.

You've pretty much mentioned the big three. Earlier this summer I went through agony with Ticketmaster and buying tickets for Broadway shows. Luckily this experience was more positive. There are local vendors that are well done, such as Ticket Horse (Denver tickets this go around) and PortTix (Portland, ME), both of which have website.
I'm still awaiting my tickets in the mail; your prompt service gives me hope!

I just happily avoided that little statement on the Atlanta Ticketmaster page and specified three tickets. It processed just fine. I have no idea why it said that on the page, but I'm glad whoever tried to put that in didn't code it as part of the sales procedure.
