Cocoa, about this live DVD that Loreena told your boyfriend would be released in September or November of this year--did he happen to find out WHICH live DVD it would be?
There is the one which has already been made for PBS, of the Granada concerts last fall that will be broadcast in the States next month on public television here as a Great Performances offering; I heard through the grapevine that Quinlan Road would be selling copies of this DVD eventually, although I rather think PBS will be using them to give as 'gifts' for hefty donations to their station at first. I was never able to pin down any accurate information as to when these might become available through Quinlan Road; could THIS be the DVD in question?
I'd like to know if a live DVD is going to be produced from the upcoming concert tour, myself. Europe, North America--or some combination of those? The Granada concerts had a different lineup of music than the tour concerts will have. My greatest hope is that there WILL be a live tour concert DVD produced, so that those of us who cannot attend any live concert can finally be able to enjoy a full-length 'virtual' one at home. And, for those who are fortunate enough to attend the concerts of their choices, the live DVD would be wonderful to have, watch and listen to repeatedly, just for all the wonderful memories!
Therefore, I HOPE there will be two different DVDs produced! And/or a set of Live In-Concert CDs, perhaps? Dare I hope for so much?
I plan to obtain a copy of the PBS Great Performances DVD just as soon as it becomes available for public purchase. I would buy both a live tour concert DVD AND a set of live CDs once those become available, also, IF they will be produced.
Could somebody who knows the score on this please provide us with more information? I for one would be greatly appreciative, of that.
(...from one who still doesn't know if she'll even be able to get to a 'real' concert or not...)
