I agree with you Nickademas!!! What a magical night and it was the first concert I have been to that there was a common air of love, peace, compassion and beauty that filled the Paramount and wafted through the streets of Seattle.
Tuesday was the most beautiful this area had seen all year (in my heart it will be the best day until Loreena comes again). The sun was shining and the weather was warm and the pollution wasn't too bad. The pollen wasn't great, but we were not about to let that get us down. I had been sick from allergies the four days prior and I was afraid I wouldn't make it to the show.

She was absolutely brilliant and I still carry the same "peaceful easy feeling" that she created that night. I love that woman and all her songs and hence she did play all my favorite songs especially "The Highwayman". "Greensleeves" was a surprise to us all as it was a gift to a loving couple, Phil and some other guy I can't remember his name. The lighting and the mist created an air of mystery that kept our attention all throughout the show. She sang just as good as on her cds, if not better, yes, it was much better! I am ready for her next cd and concert!!! I love her voice!!! Her words!!! And her gentle demeanor!!!
Loreena smiled a lot and she seemed at ease with herself and her music. Love was flowing from the audience to her and back to the audience, hence the magic!
They put a pexiglass wall in front of the drummer and it helped with the sound from over powering the songs. She has the cutest giggle and she did laugh several times during the performance.
The Paramount is 80 to 90 years old as my friend Renee was telling of her days when she would walk to the venue to watch movies. There are details carved into the walls and ceiling with beautiful chandeliers hanging high from above, but there was no air flow and it became stuffy, we didn't let that get us down and it did not imped on the show either. I guess enought people where fanning themselves to keep it cool enough. Big Grin
All the musicians were fabulous to watch and listen. Caroline and Hugh caught my eye many times that captured my heart.
Loreena is a unique woman that has a special soul where we can learn and grow from and her musicians are just a wonderful. Some how, some way her music and her voice nourishes my soul and stirs my imagination and I got this overwhelming feeling how can I keep this wonderful gift going?
For those who have been wondering about the pronounciation of her name; it goes like this:
Lor e na. Long e, not long a as I have heard in the past.
Thanks, hugs, and kisses to you Loreena and your band! My heart is full!!! Smiler
