What is your favourite song from Loreena's new CD release, An Ancient Muse?

What is your favourite song from the new An Ancient Muse CD?

Can't decide, I like them all too much!

 

I'm torn between Caravanserai and Beneath A Phrygian Sky. Caravanserai, since I like the tune to it, and Beneath A Phrygian Sky because of the lyrics. I don't like Penelope's Song all that much, though it still is a nice piece.

So really, I can't decide.

It is very hard to choose.
My favourite songs are The gates of Istambul, Caravanserai and Never-ending road.
so, I can't choose...

Hi Jill....Hard question!!!! Probably my favorite is Caravanserai but really Beneath a phyrygian Sky and Penelope´s song are amazing too...like Caravanserai. If i am happy...Caravanserai is my choise. If i am sad...penelope´s song...if I am dreaming....Phyrygian Sky...

I have listened to An Ancient Muse several times
and I can't say there is one song that has become my favourite as yet. I am sure that will happen at some point though.
Loreens McKennitt's music always leads me to a very spiritual, personal place.

I love so many of them, but I am sure that the more I listen to it, some may stick out. Right now though, I enjoy the entire collection.

My favorite song of the CD is Penelope Song with its beautiful melody followed by Kecharitomene. This instrumental brings to my mind Loreena's research of the first Celts from northern China to Eastern Europe to the Crusades and the crossroads of all cultures as they relate to Anna Comnena. I can see a music video of the history of all these cultures and the crossroads where Anna ends her days. The music tells the story.

It´s very hard to choose between "Caravanserai" and "Beneath A Phrygian Sky" but "Beneath A Phrygian Sky" is longer so it got my vote : ))

Caravanserai is my favorite. Sticks in my mind as much as The Highwaymen does (my Book of Secrets favorite)
