Beneath a Phrygian Sky - it's the best song I ever heard, so I feel at this moment. It gives insight about God that is acceptable for me. It gives encouragement without being plain, and I like the music, the different parts that are involved.

Caravanserai was the starting point for me, I saw the video by Amazon, and I liked it so much that I bought all the CDs I didn't had <all with the exception of "Visit">.

And (I forgot to add this to previous post) Saturday night I had a dream where my daughter and I were riding a train and "An Ancient Muse" played over head. My daughter and I were stapling pages of the lyrics of the albumn together then a woman sat with us and we talked of Loreena. It was a beautiful dream up to the point when 2 missionaries came to us and distracted me from my work. The music stopped and I woke up. The music has made a deep impression on me and it is more complex then previous recordings.
One song reminds me of Marco Polo, one reminds me of Bonnie Swans and one I sang after I turned off the cd and I started singing The Lady of Shallott instead. The English Ladye and the Scotish Knight reminds me of my friend who fell in love with a Scottish lad. Incantation shends shivers down my spine. Powerful music that we have waited a long time for. It was well worth the wait.

Which one is my favorite? I change favorites with what I need to write in my stories that play with my characters. I love every single song that Loreena has recorded. No other artist I can say that about. She is a very special person.

I love each and every song on the CD, but if I have to rank them I would place Beneath A Phrygian Sky first and Penelope's Song second. Caravanserai is another favorite. Gah, they are ALL so good................

I have to say that Beneath a Phrygian Sky really grabs at me, but The English Lady and the Knight really chokes me up. And if I really think about I could say some thing great about all the songs!! I listen to the album over and over again so things can change

I can't vote now, I still have to make up my mind, I've only listened to the album twice... but my istant-favourite is "The English Ladye And The Knight", with "Never-ending Road (Amhràn Duit)" close second.

Mine too! I love them both. But if/when you get Raglan Road, you may add that one to your favourites. I think, though I've only had AAM for a few days, that my favourite song on it is Raglan Road. It's really heartaching. The lyrics are wonderful. Does anyone know where I can get the offical lyrics?
The English Ladye And The Knight is oh so beautiful. I love the boys choir. It adds a great atmosphere. I have always loved boys choirs, ever since I can remember. Cool

Error! When I mentioned "Journeys End" I meant "Never-Ending Road". I have only had the CD for a couple of days and the titles haven't sunk in yet! In fact I rarely look at titles, just listen to the music!

Why just those three? "Journeys End" is my personal favourite-but I like them all really-so that's my vote!

Hey Arend, the best man at my wedding a few months ago is from Rotterdam...and I'm in New York City. It's a small world! Be well and enjoy!

Yes, I remember reading someone's comment about the similarity of AM and Loreena's previous work. While I did notice some, I can't say it was "Ah, that's so like 'Between the Shadows'..." But more of a style thing? There is definitely so much more Med./Middle-Eastern influence in AM. It's beautiful. What an incredible album.

Kecharitomene reminds me of Marco Polo, and Incantation of Prologue. Smiler
