Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful experience in New York. I thought about Loreena last Friday, as I usually do whenever she has to perform somewhere in the world. It's my way to be always with her.
Autumnhollows, that is a beautiful picture. You and I do and will have memories of the Colonel McKennitt's music, particularly with me with my hearing "The Mummers' Dance" when I was between my pre-teen and adolescent years. Well, anyway, thank you for sharing.
My wife and I were at the concert in Indianapolis IN on the Butler Campus. I am from the UK and my wife is from Indiana. We both thoroughly enjoyed the concert and all of Loreena's work on CD and DVD. It appears that Indiana is not the cultural wasteland it appears as I agree there were plenty of fans in attendance. Looking forward to the new album hopefully in 2017.
This is a time of healing; that is what my mind and heart have been searching for these past couple of months. It's been a challenging year personally, and also with all this political unrest and wars against people, are just enough to set us back to the dark ages in mind. So I made a promise to myself to seek healing through artistry. I started go to local museums, and concerts to start this personal campaign of healing. I attended the beautiful program of The Way of the Rain - Voice of...
Attended Loreena's trio performance last night in Indianapolis. As an ex-pat Canadian living in Indianapolis, I knew to be excited as I had not ever seen her live before. The performance far exceeded my own high expectations. What a night! What a voice! To my heart's delight, the crowd was sizable and very enthusiastic! I wasn't sure how many people in this city/region would be aware of Loreena and her magnificent voice. The response from the crowd made me proud. Great show!
I attended the masterful performance in York, PA with my husband over the past weekend. We traveled from Long Island to hear LM once more before she returned to Canada. Loreena's music was basically the backdrop to our wedding and last year, coincidentally on our wedding anniversary weekend, we saw her in NYC, where she opened with 'Samhain Night', the song our wedding party walked down the aisle to. As a keepsake I was hoping to purchase a tour t-shirt but stupidly didn't have cash on me. I...
Lizjul, what a treat that was for you and thank you for sharing your experience! I loved reading your post and your words painted the evening so clearly I could feel Loreena singing and her musicians playing and you're correct on the point of her musicians are very talented. They have to be, don't they? To play with and keep up with Loreena! Is there a video of the concert? Love, Gina
