I know I'm not the only one, but why not share the love for those latecomers like me who have not come across it yet. I figure if I was going to make a rant, this be the right place right? If anyone is still lurking around, like me, that is. But it's silly how I "just" finally stumbles across Alan Stivell! And wow I am fascinated! I just listened to the whole Renaissance of the Celtic Harp Album, and it is a fine piece of work. I especially love the Gaeltacht portion of the album.
It's incredible how music from all corners of the world intertwined with one another if you just look deep enough. Because today was one of those days that I somehow got lost on youtube. Haha. My journey earlier at work started with, "Ella Vos - You don't know about me," which I somehow ended up listening to "Duplessy and the Violins of the World - Petard Chinois." that inspired me to do more research about the Nyckelharpa instrument. Then I ended up with Scandinavian music, and that then landed me listen to tunes such as, "The III Project - Kopanitsa." which is pretty amazing. And finally after work, settling down the family, and here I am by myself at 2 am on this journey again and finally coming to the destination of Alan Stivell." And "WOW" music has such a fluid way that intertwine with one another huh?
Besides that is there any recommendations on any bands and or artists?
