Johnny Cash/Loreena Mckennitt?

I was watching "Walk the Line" with my grandma and started talking about how loreena raised money and started her production label and what happened to her husband and began ranting about why she needs a movie about her life, but maybe that's silly, anyway I just thought I'd toss that into forums... btw I'm tired now so I'm not sure how coherant this sounds. much love and peace

Um, excuse me, loreenamckennittfan, the correction is that her "fiancee" drowned, not her husband. I thought about this movie thing myself, but I don't think Ms. McKennitt would appreciate having someone doing a biopic about her, even as long as she lives. Remember when she sued her best friend for that book? Anyway, despite her being a good Christian Canuck, Loreena wouldn't forgive anyone for doing that.

"fiancee"

Loreenya,
Fiancee is the female version of the word, the male uses just one "e" on the end. I love this message board we all learn so much. One thing I haven't learned was Loreena's religious preference. I haven't heard her claim that she was a Christian. As it has no difference to me as long as she follows that Sufi saying that she quoted on "No Journey's End" about "polishing the mirror of my soul." Beautiful!!!
Bright Blessing,
Gina

Loreenya, sometimes your posts has a certain negative ring.
(I thought ms Ash was a former best friend.)

About [but I don't think Ms. McKennitt would appreciate having someone doing a biopic about her..] People don't always do things without understanding and dialogue as in the case with Ash.
The movie wouldn't have to be only about scrutinizing her private life, it could be about how she built up her career from "nothing" to where she is now with her label and all. I am sure it would be very inspiring. But now as I think about it, "No journey's end" and the series (posted at youtube) pretty much tell about that.

This is too late in the night for me to sit and try to think about the celebrity cult and how Loreena fit into it. But generally, if things were "right", the celebrities should be best known for -whatever they do/did - music/acting/etc, and not for how they live(d)...do you understand what I mean?

Good night
Malin

I don't intend to be negative. However, what I am concerned at that point is defending Ms. McKennitt's privacy (unless she has given herself permission to say something personal). What I am saying that the Colonel would not appreciate anyone, not even a major film studio, doing a biographical film about her without her blessing or permission.

P.S.: I made a mistake in making reference or judgement to her religion. I myself cannot be the judge on that one; otherwise, I would be making false assumptions about her anyway.  (Anyone else should not either). Oh, heaven! I made such a transgression about that matter.
