Other Celtic Classics?

Hello everyone,

I have read many posts displaying support for Loreena's choice to return to her Irish and Scottish "roots". It is something of which I'd like to see more. I eagerly await her original works as well.
It is my opinion, and perhaps some of you may agree, that whatever Loreena chooses to perform will bear her unmistakable stamp and display a talent which is uniquely hers.
Loreena started me off on my Celtic journey and I must truly thank her for that.
Having listened to thousands of hours of other artist's music, I almost always ask myself...What would it be like if Loreena McKennitt performed this song? "The Wind That Shakes The Barley" has answered the question for some...but I'd sure like to hear more...perhaps interspersed between some of her newer material.
So... I was wondering...what songs some of you would like to hear her perform? One of my choices would be "Black is the Colour of My True Love's Hair"... a hauntingly beautiful traditional song from Scotland.
I look forward to hearing from some of you.
Take care,
John

Just an aside...
Some of you may wonder what "Black is the Colour of My True Love's Hair" sounds like. It's worth a "crawl" through Youtube to hear the various versions. The traditional Scottish version is performed by the likes of Slainte, Phil Coulter, Gaelic Storm. I can only imagine what Ms. McKennitt could do with this song.

One of the faithful versions is by a band called Burning Mind. My personal favourites are by Phil Coulter...an orchestral version...and Gaelic Storm. Here is a link to the Gaelic Storm version... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...eezk&feature=related .

I'd love to hear a Loreena McKennitt version.

Cheers,
John
