I felt the chat went well, both technically and in the tone and content of submissions and replies. There must have been an error in your email of Feb. 13 announcing the time of the chat. It read 1:00pm EST, but the chat started at 11:00am EST, and it was pure serendipity at caused me to try logging on 2 hours early. I suspect there would have been fuller participation if it had not been for this mix up. Also, to avoid repetitive questions, you may wish to revive the practice of accepting pre-chat submissions. Perhaps these could be made visible to participants as well. Of course I realize the great value of a chat is its spontaneity and "real-time" flavor, but I think realistically we all know that only selected questions will be displayed and responded to in near-real-time. So opening the chat to questions several hours before the start might not be a bad idea and worth a try.
Finally, I would be curious to know who actually does Loreena's typing. My understanding is that typically the chat responder speaks to a typist who enters what is spoken, and that the responder can view and approve the reply prior to someone hitting "send". If so, this typist deserves credit for their effort as well.
Thanks again for this fascinating chance at a dialog with the artist.
