Sheet Music....

To help things get rolling here, I just ordered the sheet music pdf file for the song "The Old Ways". I've been listening to "Live In Paris and Toronto," and decided I also want to work on this song, along with "Dante's Prayer."

Has anybody else seen the pdf sheet music ?

yes, I have gotten some sheet music and practice Dante's Prayer. Musicians out there should try and get them, or one can use the sheet music to plug into a sequencer or musical program to get the fell for the song before playing it. Thanks Pan

Yes! Smiler
I've bought the sheet music for "Dante's Prayer" in mid-September. The service is very quick and professional Cool, though it's a pity not to have the possibility to order the sheet music for the songs on "Elemental" and "Parallel Dreams" (I'm especially thinking of "Dickens' Dublin [The Palace]" and "Stolen Child"). Loreena's online shop, however, is magnificent! It's not easy to find an artist who offers you (apart from her/his music, obviously) the books she has taken inspiration from, pillows, shirts, sheet music etc... on her website. So, give praise when praise is due!!

You should look into Guitar Pro or Power Tab Editor software. Either program will let you transribe from notation to tab. It's a bit slow and labor intencive but it works. They also both alow you to open MIDI files and automaticly convert into standard notation and tab. I use them both because you can download tab in both formats and play back through a MIDI adaptor while following the music on the screen.

I have a Fender G-Dec amp that has a midi input that lets me run midis from my computer directly into my amp for backing tracks. Wonderful way to practice, a band that dosen't care how many times you mess up and is always in tune and time.

I also play guitar and don't read music that well, but look for the guitar chord diagrams located on top of the staffs, which this music does indeed have. Once I know the proper chords, it's just a matter of some practice to blend them together and make it sound "right." So I find Loreena's sheet music very helpful. I do basically the same thing while playing guitar or keyboard.

Also, don't lose heart-- sheet music is incredibly easy to learn how to read. There are lots of inexpensive books out there if you want to learn. Or if you knew someone, they could teach you in five minutes.

Cheers!
